Archive of Hopewell Valley History
The collections of the Hopewell Valley Historical Society are stored within the Hopewell Branch of the Mercer County Library System, on West Delaware Avenue, just outside of Pennington, N.J. The Society acknowledges the generosity of Mercer Country and thanks them for making the storage space available. Below is a list of historical material from our collections that is available to the public for research.

locations of businesses, etc. These maps are also available for sale. Please inquire at the Reference Desk.

George H. Frisbie Photographic Collection - Images from 1890-1910. Binder containing photocopies
of most of this fascinating photographic collection. Subjects include scenes of local life, homes, fashion, transportation, primarily in and around Pennington, N. J. with partial guide.
Joab Titus Collection - Binder containing photocopies of deeds, family and estate papers, centering on the Elm Ridge Road area of Hopewell Township, N.J. includes guide.
CDs - Containing genealogy publications and census indexes for New Jersey and surrounding states. (Note: also make use of the library's New Jersey Collection which contains many of the important published
works on the area.)

Our ongoing goal is to make our major collections available for research in the form of paper or electronic copies, as above. Until they are available through the reference desk, they will be available by appointment.
