ORAL HISTORY
An important part of the Hopewell Valley Historical Society’s mission over the years has been to collect oral history. We believe that much of our past has not been collected or published and that this history lies in each of us. In all of our collective memories is the real life history of Hopewell Valley. The things that we did when we were young. The people and places that were once part of our lives and the way of life we remember are all part this community’s past. We believe that this history is as valuable to collect and preserve as the photographs and documents in our archives. A dedicated group of volunteers has worked over the years to visit some of our older residents and record their memories.
In this category we share some of those stories.
