Happy New Year! Our long-awaited semiquincentennial year has arrived!  Our Programs Committee is working hard – we should have at least one event for every month in 2026 plus, as always, we will keep you apprised of our neighbors’ events.

Our first event this year will be “Cider in the 18th Century,” a talk by Mark Turdo who is a museum professional with a particular interest in the history of alcoholic cider.  What better way to ring in the new year!

In February, join us as Ian Burrow tells us about how the American Revolution was seen during the war by contemporaries in Britain. Info will be posted on our website later this week.

Mercer County has finally released its Mercer 250 website and the time spent to complete it seems well worth it. As each of the historical societies, municipalities, and commercial establishments populate it, it will be a valuable tool for where to go and how to celebrate this important year in US and New Jersey history.
